The NY Pancyprian Freedoms, Mass Premier Soccer, Icon FC of New Jersey and the Maryland-based Screamng Eagles advanced to the Region I semifinals of the USASA Werner Fricker US Open Cup with quarterfinal wins on Sunday, April 7.

The Region I draws for the United States Adult Soccer Association National Cups has been set. More than 100 teams competed among its member state associations to advance to the regional qualifying rounds in the US Open, Amateur & Over-30 Cups.

The Cosmopolitan Soccer League’s Irish clubs are lending a helping hand and more to the Hurricane Sandy relief effort. Lansdowne volunteers are heading to Breezy Point to help out, while Shamrock will organize a drive for blankets, clothing and non-perishable food.
