Former Red Bulls midfielder Seth Stammier sparkled on his Over-30 debut for Manhattan Kickers Premier, netting four times in a 6-2 thrashing of Barnstonworth Rovers Old Boys in the Cosmopolitan Soccer League last Sunday.
Richie Webb and Joe Whiteman accounted for the other Kicker goals.
SMITH TREY
Nick Smith was also on fire for Kickers’ other Over-30 side, bagging a hat trick in a 4-1 win over New York Greek-American/Atlas at Bushwick Inlet.
Paul Cowler was the other Kicker scorer.
GUNS SILENCED
In Over-30 Division Two, Brooklyn Gunners succumbed 2-0 to CPR Greys, with Alex Kratz and Ugo Salinas on target.
“The Greys opened their campaign with a comfortable win against the Gunners in our chase for back-to-back promotions,” CPR’s Yuval Lion said.
CPR Old Boys, meanwhile, blanked Troy Turkish United 3-0.
KERRY SPARK
Hoboken FC 1912’s Kerry Hall sparked a 5-1 rout of FC Partizani with two goals.
There were also strikes by Steve Dobson and Nathan Kirk – the latter with a nifty header – before Jason Simmons, who’d struck the bar earlier, sealed a convincing victory.
