No CSL games this weekend

There will be no Cosmopolitan Soccer League games this weekend, the league announced on Friday.

League officials said that will some soccer fields might be open after Hurricane Sandy, it was neither safe to try to travel to these facilities.

According to a statement released by CSL president Peter Strumpt and secretary Bill Marth:

"Fuel supplies are low, mass transit is not fully operational, traffic lights may not be working, and many roads are blocked by downed trees and/or power lines.

"It is necessary for all our members to take full precautions to keep everyone safe."

The league will notify its club soon when these games will be rescheduled.

"Please stay safe!" Strumpf and Marth said.
