TALENTED TRIO Krzysik, Spencer, Tina DiMartino taken in NWSL supplemental draft
A pair of New York players and another from New Jersey were selected by teams in the National Women's Soccer League supplemental draft on Thursday.
Nikki Krzysik, who hails from Ridgefield, N.J., was drafted by the Seattle Reign FC as the second overall pick.
Former University of Maryland standout Jasmyne Spencer of Bay Shore, N.Y. was chosen by the Boston Breakers in the fourth round and Christina (Tina) DiMartino, one of four talented sisters from the same family in Massapequa, N.Y., was taken by FC Kansas City in the fifth round.
Spencer played for the Albertson Fury and Bay Shore High School, while DiMartino performed for Massapequa H.S. and the New York Fury, and most recently with the Philadelphia Independence in the now-defunct Women's Professional Soccer.
