The Red Bulls injury report has changed again and now Mike Magee and Edson Buddle along with Taylor Graham have been ruled out of Saturday's game against the Chicago Fire.
Magee has a right ankle sprain, Buddle has a left hamstring strain while Graham, who underwent successful sports hernia surgery in Munich, Germany Thursday, will be out for two weeks.
That means the Red Bulls will go with a 3-5-2 formation, which is what Johnston prefers anyway, with Youri Djorkaeff moving up front to play with Jean Philippe Peguero and Mark Lisi likely getting his first start in the midfield.
"He's a good passer of the ball, he organizes, communicates well," Johnston said of Lisi, who played one minute this year and has been hampered with a right groin strain. "Obviously it helps Danny [O'Rourke] a bit, it frees up Amado [Guevara]. That part we're comfortable with."
And it's also possible a younger player like Joe Vide, Blake Camp or Jordan Cila could see time Saturday.
"There's an opportunity for numerous people," Johnston said.
