September 2, 2009 MEMORABLE COACHING DEBUT EX-Metro Kalonji guides NJCU to win
New York -- New Jersey City University made first-year coach and former MetroStar Nansha Kalonji a winner in his debut as seven players scored in a 7-0 victory over the City College of New York in the season opener for both schools Wednesday.
Kalonji, who played with the MetroStars in 1999, is the 12th coach in the 51-year history of the program.
Kalonji replaced another former MetroStar, Cris da Silva, as coach. Da Silva took a position with the Red Bulls this summer.
