The Bellmore, N.Y. native was honored for the week ending on Sunday, Sept. 12.
Tarik started her memorable week by scoring twice in the second half of the Pride's 3-1 win over Purdue in West Lafayette, Ind. on Friday.
She gave the Pride the insurance goal at 65:33, when she placed a shot from six yards into the lower-right corner for her third goal of the season. Only 18 seconds later, Greene nearly made the score 3-0, but had her shot saved by Purdue goalkeeper Carianne Betts. Tarik, though, made sure the Pride tacked on another goal as she scored her second of the day at 70:33, exactly five minutes after her first goal.
Tarik struck again in the 3-1 road win at Indiana University. She tallied at 71:57 to stretch Hofstra's lead to 3-0 off an assist from sophomore defender Danielle Murino. The goal was Tarik's fifth this season and her 24th career goal, including 21 at Hofstra (after scoring three as a freshman at Cal State Northridge), sixth on the school's all-time list.
