Hofstraís Adam Jankowski
Hofstra senior goalkeeper Adam Jankowski has been named the BigAppleSoccer.com Menís College Player of the Week for the week ending November 11.
Jankowski made a career-high ten saves as the Pride defeated Drexel in six-round shootout after a 1-1 tie in regulation time to advance to the Colonial Athletic Association championship game at Vidas Field on Friday night. The Coram, NY native made four saves after halftime, and forced three consecutive missed Drexel shots in penalty kicks.
Jankowski made seven more saves, six of them in the first half, to send Sundayís championship match against Northeastern into double overtime, before the Pride fell 1-0 with 4:39 left to play.
