Foster became the third Hofstra men's soccer player to earn NSCAA All-America honors and the first since Michael Todd won second team honors in 2006. Ed Gaffney, an honorable mention, was the program's first selection in 1969.
Foster was one of only 11 defenders nationally who were named to the Division I All-America teams. The Southport, England native was a semifinalist for the MAC Hermann Award and joined New Mexico's Kyle Venter, Maryland's London Woodberry and Sacred Heart's Marcello Castro as defenders on the third team.
On Thursday, Foster was named to the Eastern College Athletic Conference Division I All-Star team after leading the Pride to an 11-6-4 record and a spot in the Colonial Athletic Association championship game.
In November, Foster was named one of 34 finalists for the Soccer News Net College Boot award, recognizing the men's college player of the year.
A junior who has exhausted his NCAA eligibility, Foster was the CAA's co-defensive Player of the Year recipient, making him the league's first three-time winner of the defensive award. He was also named to the league's all first-team in 2012. Foster was a key part of a Hofstra defensive unit that allowed 21 goals in 19 games and posted seven shutouts, including four in CAA play.
Foster contributed two goals (both game-winners) and an assist.
