Meet the candidate: St. John's Battuto Punyed, then vote

St. John’s senior midfielder Pablo Battuto Punyed is one of six nominees for Big Apple Soccer men’s college player of the year, and a regional nominee for the Soccer News Net College Boot, recognizing the national player of the year.

After a season that saw him score four goals – two of them game-winners – and rack up a career-high three assists, Punyed (Miami, Fla./Coral Park HS, Miami FC Kendall) claimed a share of the Big East Midfielder of the Year award and earned his fourth straight All-Big East First Team selection.

Fan voting for the Soccer News Net College Boot and Big Apple Soccer college player of the year awards is open through December 23.
