Argentine Elizondo will work the middle
Berlin, Germany -- Argentine Horacio Elizondo will become the first game official to work a World Cup opener and final and the second ref to handle five matches at a championship.

Elizondo has shown 22 yellow cards and two red cards, including that controversial one to Wayne Rooney as England was eliminated by Portugal in the quarterfinal.
