MLS boss Garber says he is in great shape

Don Garber: "I had a two-year battle that I don't wish on anybody. You come out on a positive end of an experience like that and I believe that you're better." Don Garber says he feels great. Two years after he was diagnosed with prostate cancer, the Major League Soccer commissioner says he is cancer free.

IT'S ONLY NEW YORK, NEW YORK
Garber: 'We're not going to have a third team' in New York

MLS commissioner Don Garber on the MLS team situation in the New York City area: "We have two teams in MLS in New York. We're not going to have a third team." If the Cosmos somehow make a miracle comeback from their demise, don't expect them to perform in Major League Soccer. During his state of the league speech Friday at the Intercontinental Hotel, MLS commissioner Don Garber said that the New York area already has plenty on its plate with two teams.

With Jurgen Klinsmann no longer making player selections for the U.S. national team, maybe Brad Guzan feels it’s safe to return to Major League Soccer. One report quoting anonymous sources said the backup U.S. national team goalkeeper is “exploring a potential return.”
