Ex-Metro Davis is honored

Former MetroStars midfielder Brad Davis was named team MVP of the Houston Dynamo.

Davis, who played for the MetroStars in 2002, also earned Houston goal of the year honors for his Sept. 19 strike against Real Salt Lake.

The 28-year-old Davis scored five goals and assisted on a team-high 12 goals this season.

The Dynamo plays at the Los Angeles Galaxy in the Western Conference final at 11 p.m. ET Friday (ESPN2).
