Gottschee Academy teams in scoreless ties

WINDSOR, N.J. -- The B.W. Gottschee NYC Under-16 and U-18 teams hit the road to play Match Fit Academy Saturday. The teams probably still were celebrating Thursday's Thanksgiving feast because neither team was able to generate enough energy to win or even score in its U.S. Soccer Development Academy games.

On Thursday, the teams will travel to Phoenix,l Ariz. for the 2009-2010 Academy Winter Showcase.

Gottschee will play agaisnt Real Colorado, Vardar and AFC Lightning.

More than 200 college coaches and U.S. youth and National Team coaches are expected to attend the competition and evaluate the talent.
