Boys U-9

The Boys U-9A team played its final game of the season against a skilled SC Gjoa side in a must-win situation to have a perfect fall season and to secure first place. Within the first minute, Gottschee took the lead with a great through ball by Sal Rasizzi finding Sean Molloy, who placed the ball in the back of the net. Gjoa was pressured Gottschee for the rest of the half and put two goals in the net on poor play by BWG. Gottschee regrouped and tied the score with an Ervin Dervisevic goal. Sean Molloy was tripped up in the penalty area a few minutes later and put Gottschee in the lead with a penalty kick. Michael Kilcarr increased the lead. He provided an assist for a Sean Molloy goal, giving the latter a hat-trick and Gottschee a 5-2 victory.

The U-9B team overwhelmed Gjoa, 7-1, on twols goals apiece by Tom Kieblecz and Marko Mladenovic and single tallies from Alan Tsiglanitsky, Luke Vadala and Dan Villardi.
