Cosmos fans can place deposits for season tickets Friday

New York Cosmos fans can place deposits for 2013 North American Soccer League season tickets at nycosmos.com beginning at 10 a.m. on Friday.

This would give fans priority benefits, including preferred seat selection at Hofstra University in Hempstead, N.Y. and purchase access before the general public sale.

Fans can put down a $50 deposit.

Cosmos COO Erik Stover said fans will get a priority number to select seats at Shuart Stadium.

Stover said there is no specific target as to how many season tickets the club wants to sell.

"We haven't put a number on it," he said on Wednesday. "We're very optimisitc. Every meeting we've taken [with fans] we've had a tremendous amount of support."
