BIG FINISH
Long Island Fury end season with back to back wins

BROOKLYN, NY---The Long Island Fury rolled to a pair of wins at the Aviator Sports Complex over the weekend, defeating Seacoast Mariners 7-0 on Saturday and the Seacoast Phantoms 4-0 on Sunday.

With the pair of wins, the Fury finish the season at 4-4-2.

Selma Tarik led the way for the Fury on Saturday with a hat trick, while goals from Maddie Haller, Alex Bushman and Rosie DiMartino completed the rout.

On Sunday, DiMartino opened the scoring in the first half for the Fury, putting away a pass from Katie Greer. The Fury added two early goals in the second half, from Amanda Rooney and Tarik. Greer put away the final goal late in the game.

“We did a great job holding possession,” said Fury coach Phil Casella. “In all we did well the final weekend and really got into a groove and now we are just waiting to see if we are in the WPSL playoffs.”
