Markus Egger, the managing director for soccer for the entire Red Bull organization, is in New Jersey meeting with Red Bulls club officials as the team makes plans for the 2010 MLS season.
Egger will discuss many issues with Red Bulls managing director Erik Stover and the team's staff, including sorting out the sporting side of the organization, a team spokesman said.
A team spokesman said that Egger usually flies in from the company's headquarters in Salzburg, Austria at this time of the year to plan for the next season.
It is not known how long Egger will be meeting with team officials, although one source said he will be in the area at least through the end of the week.
The Red Bulls already have said they will re-organize the sporting division because there has been confusion as to who is in charge of players' signing this season -- the sporting director or the coach.
Red Bulls coach Juan Carlos Osorio resigned as coach last month and former assistant coach Richie Williams has become interim coach. Sporting director Jeff Agoos reportedly is on the hotseat himself.
Agoos is not giving interviews at this time, the team said.
