Report: Williams interviews with United, Onalfo a candidate for Bulls sporting director

Red Bulls assistant coach Richie Williams has interviewed for the D.C. United head coaching position, according to the Washington Post Soccer Insider.

Former Kansas City Wizards coach Curt Onalfo, who also has interviewed for the job, also is a candidate for Red Bulls sporting director, the Insider reported.

The Red Bulls are searching for a sporting director to replace Jeff Agoos, who could be retained in another post within the organization, and a coach. According to one source, the Red Bulls would stand in the way of Agoos taking a job with another team.

The Red Bulls want to hire a sporting director first. The SD would then name a head coach.
