NEW YORK RED BULLS

NEW, REGULAR PODCAST
Seeing Red! to feature the Red Bulls

Three local soccer bloggers have teamed up to launch Seeing Red! The New York Soccer Roundup, a 30-minute podcast that will appear weekly during the MLS season.

The podcast's primary focus is the Red Bulls, the team each co-host has followed as a fan and in some instances in a professional reporting capacity. The podcast can be downloaded for free from the www.SeeingRedNY.com Web site and shortly on iTunes.

The project is the brainchild of Mark Fishkin, a MetroStars/Red Bulls season ticket holder since its inception and blogger at The Kin of Fish since 2005.

"As a fan and ticket-holder of the franchise since 1996, I've often felt unsatisfied by the quantity of content surrounding the team," Fishkin said. "Seeing Red! provides an opportunity to for fans to get an independent opinion of what's happening with the Red Bulls. We hope to hear from our listeners, have them help drive our conversation, and have some fun as well."

Joining Fishkin as co-hosts are Dave Martinez, senior editor at TheOffside.com and contributor to RedBulls.TheOffside.com, and Nathaniel E. Baker, managing editor of AmericanSoccerNews.net and contributor to rbny.AmericanSoccerNews.net.

Martinez is best known for his work on the Red Bulls Offside blog, where he has covered the team since 2007. He became a senior editor at The Offside in 2009. He has followed the team since 2000 and has a deep passion for the beautiful game.

Baker began following the team as a reporter in 2005 with Greenpitch.com. In 2007 he joined ASN as a Red Bulls beat reporter. He took over managing editor duties the following year.
