Red Bulls midfielder Joel Lindpere was one of seven MLS players who were named an inactive all-star, the league announced Tuesday.
Twenty-five players were named to the MLS all-star team, which will play Manchester United at Reliant Stadium in Houston on Wednesday night.
Lindpere and the six other players will receive a bonus for making the top 32 MLS players for the all-star game.
The six other players:
Goalkeepers Jimmy Nielsen (Kansas City) and Kasey Keller (Seattle), midfielders Robbie Rogers (Columbus) and Freddie Ljungberg (Seattle) and forwards Fredy Montero (Seattle) and Conor Casey (Colorado).
