LONDON -- Former Red Bulls central defender Tim Ream's debut for Bolton Wanderers was a winning one.
Ream started for the visiting side in its 2-0 win over Millwall in an English F.A. Cup match at the Den on Saturday.
He played the entire 90 minutes of the match, which was televised in the United States on Fox Soccer Plus, and acquitted himself well.
Ryo Miyaichi scored four minutes into the match and David N'Gog added an insurance goal in the second half.
Around the 70th minute Ream did well to control a Millwall cross but he tried an ambitious pass in a dangerous area. Millwall's Liam Trotter got the ball and shot, but goalkeeper Adam Bogdan saved.
Ream was acquired in a $2.5 million transfer deal with the Red Bulls last month.
Bolton's next match is set for Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in this city on Saturday, Feb. 25.
