RED BULLS INJURY REPORT
Marquez, Henry expected back for United; Tainio has started to run in practice

Red Bulls coach Hans Backe expects team captain and striker Thierry Henry and defender-midfielder Rafa Marquez to return to action against D.C. United at Red Bull Arena on Sunday.

They have both been sidelined by injuries suffered during the recent three-week Major League Soccer break.

Henry has a right calf strain and Marquez incurred a thigh injury during training for Mexico's World Cup qualfiying.

Both players missed Sunday's 3-1 loss at the Chicago Fire and will be sidelined from Wednesday night's encounter at the Vancouver Whitecaps FC.

"I can be quite sure that Marquez and Thierry will be back for the Sunday game," Backe said during a Monday afternoon conference call. "I am 100 percent sure they will be back for that."

Backe added that veteran midfielder Teemu Tainio, who has been sidelined for most of the season with a right knee sprain, "has started doing some running outside, but that is more of a long term. I don’t know any time frame for him, but he is going to be out for a while."

Forward Jose Angulo also is sidelined with a right knee sprain.
