BigAppleSoccer.com has learned that the Red Bulls will be without the services of captain Thierry Henry, fellow designated player Rafa Marquez and midfielder Jan Gunnar Solli.
The three players did not travel with the team for Sunday night’s match against the New England Revolution at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Mass., according to sources.
The Red Bulls confirmed this information early Saturday night.
On Friday, Red Bulls coach Hans Backe said that if Marquez is unable to play then the central defense position vacated by the Mexican international would likely be filled by Stephen Keel or Tyler Ruthven.
