Red Bulls-United 2nd leg at RBA Wednesday
The second leg of the Red Bulls-D.C. United playoff series will go on as planned at Red Bull Arena on Wednesday night.
Power has been restored to Red Bull Arena in Harrison, N.J. as clean-up in and around the stadium were underway on Saturday night, the Red Bulls announced prior to the first leg of the MLS Eastern Conference semifinal series at RFK Stadium in Washington, D.C. on Saturday night.
Hurricane Sandy had knocked out electricity at the facility.
"While resources are impacted by the hurricane, the maintenance crew and stadium staff have been very resourceful and ingenuous in assuring that the stadium operations will be completely on-line for that one special evening on Wednesday," the Red Bulls said in a statement. "After consulting with Major League Soccer and local authorities, we can confirm that the second leg" will be played."
