Four Red Bulls whose 2013 options were not picked up by the Major League Soccer team, said goodbye to fans on twitter on Monday.

Goalkeeper Jeremy Vuolo, defender Tyler Ruthven, midfielder Jan Gunnar Solli and forward Jhonny Arteaga were among the 10 players who will be looking for new teams, although Ruthven said that he plans to be back with the team during pre-season.

"It has been a great experience being a part of RBNY and wish the club the best in the future," Arteaga tweeted.

"I'd like to give special thanks to all the NY Red Bull supporters and everyone involved with the club, as I will not be back next season.

Solli, who spent two years with the club, had similar sentiments.

"Would like to thank fans & everyone else for the positive feedback I have been given after my exit from NYRB. All the best for the future!!" he said on twitter.

Vuolo agreed.

"It's been an amazing year w/ #RBNY. Thanks to all of my family, friends, and fans for all of your support! I love you guys #GodBless," he tweeted.

Ruthven said he hoped he could return to the team.

"Still hope to be back with the club in Jan. and will explore all my options," he said on twitter. "Thanks to the fans for all the kind words."

Later, Ruthven told that he would return in the pre-pre-season for the new management -- "unless I get a better situation elsewhere. Have to play for a new deal."
