Report: EPL team wants Red Bulls' Cahill

Sunderland wants to sign Tim Cahill on loan.

The Red Bulls may not have one MLS Cup or the Lamar Hunt/Open Cup this year, but they certainly lead the league in possible deals and rumors.
The latest comes out of England involving Red Bulls midfielder Tim Cahill and Sunderland, according to the Mirror.
The English Premier League team is seeking to acquire the Australian international on loan from the Major League Soccer side when the winter transfer window opens on Tuesday.
Cahill, 33, joined the Red Bulls from Everton in late July after playing eight seasons for Everton, were he scored 68 times in 278 matches.
According to the Mirror, Cahill was a scourge for Sunderland, scoring seven goals in 14 games against the EPL team.
Managed by Martin O'Neill, Sunderland needs some offensive help, having scored 21 goals in 20 matches this season.
