'THERE IS NOTHING TO SAY'
Report: Queiroz being Red Bulls coaching candidate
Carlos Queiroz has dismissed speculation that has linked him to the Red Bulls coaching position.
Queiroz, who has coached the Iran National Team since April 2011, sent a letter to Khabaronline on Tuesday, the Tehran Times reported.
“Without a doubt, we will talk about consecutive victories in the 2014 World Cup qualifiers in the new year. There is nothing to say. I wish you all a happy new year,” Queiroz said in a letter, according to the newspaper.
When the Red Bulls were known as the MetroStars, Queiroz replaced Eddie Firmani as coach in the club's first season in 1996 and guided the team into the Major League Soccer playoffs.
