MAN IN THE MIDDLE
Klopas: Lindpere will play inside more
Chicago Fire coach Frank Klopas is wondering why the Red Bulls played midfielder Joel Lindpere on the left side rather than in the middle during the Estonian international's three-year tenure with the club.

Klopas indicated he will give Klopas an opportunity to show what he can do as a central midfielder after the Major League Soccer club acquired him for an international player roster slot on Friday.
“He’s a guy that knows the league and brings a lot of international experience,” head coach Frank Klopas told Jeff Crandall on Chicago-Fire.com. “He’s an all-around solid player and last year I didn’t agree with how New York played him out wide. I think the times where he did really well were when he played inside as a box-to-box guy.
“He’s a great player that works very hard for the team, has a lot of quality to make that final pass and to score.”
Klopas also has been impressed with Lindpere's attitude and spirit.
“We’re looking for guys that want to win, that are competitors and will give everything for the team," he told Chicago-Fire.com. "I think Joel brings all that and he’ll fit in very well with our team.”
