SOME HOPE FOR HOGAN?
Report: Ephraim, who played for Sousa at QPR, linked to the Red Bulls
Red Bulls sporting director Andy Roxburgh might not want to talk about who he has interviewed to be the team's next head coach. But a British website has reported that midfielder-forward Hogan Ephraim could be joining his former coach, Paulo Sousa, who has been linked to become coach of the Major League Soccer team.
According to WestLondonSport.com, the 24-year-old Ephraim has been told that he can move on loan for the rest of the English Premier League season. The website also reported that Ephraim was not in the plans of Rangers manager Harry Redknapp.
Sousa plans to offer Ephraim an opportunity to chance to play for the Red Bulls, WestLondonSport.com reported.
Sousa has been linked to the Red Bulls coaching job, although Roxburgh won't talk about any of the candidates.
Ephraim has not made an appearance for QPR this season, but reportedly was highly regarded by Sousa during his five-month tenure as QPR coach.
He also has had stints with West Ham United, Colchester United, Leeds United, Charlton Athletic and Bristol City. Ephraim also has played for the English Under-16, U-17, U-18 and U-19 National Teams.
