Red Bulls fall to West Kendall in PKs

The New York Red Bulls Under-20s fell to West Kendall, 7-6 in a penalty kick shootout in the USL Super-20 North American Final in Epping, New Hampshire Sunday afternoon.

The game went to penalty kicks after the teams played to a 1-1 draw,

The Red Bulls went in front in the 16th minute only to have Oleksandr Yanovych level early in the second half, only the third goal the Red Bulls gave up in the tournament. Michael Grella came close to giving Red Bulls the lead in the 73rd minute, but his blast was pushed away by West Kendall goalkeeper Diego Restrepo, who would be the hero with an eighth round PK goal.

"I want to thank Seacoast United for allowing us to play at this magnificant facility," Red Bulls coach David Price said. "The level of play from West Kendall was phenomenal, congratulations to them and to the Super-20 League."
