Pretoria, South Africa -- Midfielders Sacha Kljestan and DaMarcus Beasley were named starters by U.S. coach Bob Bradley for Thursday's FIFA Confederations Cup match against Brazil at Loftus Versfeld Stadium.
Kljestan replaced the suspended Ricardo Clark (red card in the 3-1 loss to Italy on Monday) at one of the two central midfield spots and Beasley took over for the benched Benny Feilhaber at left midfield.
Team captain and central defender Carlos Bocanegra, who is still recovering from a hamstring injury he suffered during the 2-1 World Cup qualifying win over Honduras, was not considered fit to start.
