Boris Bandov was wondering what all the fuss has been about. When the U.S. tussled with Canada in a World Cup qualifier at the Kingdome in Seattle on Oct. 20, 1976, the game was the first qualifier to be played on an artificial surface and under a roof. But for Bandov and many of his American teammates, it was business as usual on a field the players had become accustomed to while performing in the NASL.

US snatches stoppage-time win over Jamaica
