Wambach glad FIFA took action on Andrade

MANCHESTER -- Striker Abby Wambach says she was happy FIFA slapped a two-game ban on Colombian forward Lady Andrade, who punched her in the face of the U.S.'s 3-0 Group G win in the Olympic women's tournament on Saturday.

The punch left the veteran U.S. forward with a black right eye.

"She is the one who knows the truth of the matter," Wambach said after she tallied her 141st career international goal in the Amerians' 1-0 win over North Korea at Old Trafford on Tuesday night.

"If you see the footage, it is what it is. Truthfully, I haven't even thought about it. I don't care. i'm glad that they took action based on what i felt happen. We've moved on."

The U.S. certainly has moved on. The Americans will meet New Zealand in a quarterfinal encounter in Newcastle on Friday.
