Sohrab Bakhtiarizadeh scored on a far-post header to give Iran a 1-1 draw with Angola in Wednesday's Group D finale at the Zentralstadion.

Portugal hands Iran 2-0 loss
After failing to score in the first half of play and being booed off the field at halftime, the talented Portuguese squad responded with second-half goals from Anderson Deco and Christiano Ronaldo to defeat Iran 2-0. With the result, Portugal now has six points and advances to the next round of play, while Iran is eliminated from the competition.

Forward’s brace pushes Mexico past Iran, 3-1
In a game that was seemingly losing its energy, Mexico struck twice within a three-minute span to turn tied match into a 3-1 World Cup victory over Iran on Sunday. Omar Bravo connected for his second goal of the match in the 76th minute and second-half sub Zinha added an insurance tally in the 79th minute at a sold-out Franken Stadion.

IVANKOVIC NAMES IRAN ROSTER
36-year-old Ali Daei Still Dominates Offense
Iran coach Branko Ivankovic built his World Cup roster around one of the oldest players in the tournament - 36-year-old Ali Daei. Proving that he can still out-think, if not outrun, younger defenders, the Saba Battery striker led Iran with nine goals in Asian qualifying.
