MEXICO : HOW THEY QUALIFIED

Mexico (7-2-1, 22 points) finished second to the United States in the CONCACAF final round, although both teams had the same amount of points. The Americans, however, got the nod by winning the head-to-head competition between the two sides in total goals, 2-1. After dispatching Dominica with relative ease, the Mexicans took first place in its semifinal group with a 6-0-0 mark.
