It's official. The United States will meet four-time World Cup champion Italy in an international friendly in Genoa, Italy on Feb. 29. It will be the U.S. coach Juergen Klinsmann's only time to get the full National Team together before the semifinal round of World Cup qualifying begins in June.

The United States National Team will begin preparation for World Cup quaifying with a pair of international friendlies next month. The U.S. will host Venezuela on Jan. 21 at 9 p.m. ET (7:00 pm local time) at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Ariz. Four days later, the team will be in Panama City, Panama, for its first ever friendly against the familiar regional opponent.

After Tim Howard, he feels there is a great drop off, especially in the next generation of goalkeepers. While the former MetroStars standout is 32-years-old and is in his prime and shows nothing that he is slowing down, Klinsmann wants to know where the next quality backup and his heir apparent is.
