At their holiday party on Dec. 7, the Eastern New York Youth Soccer Association and Eastern New York State Adult Soccer Association bid a very fond farewell to Hilda Wolfe upon her retirement at the beginning of 2015.

Ilgin wants to turn pro, is invited to high school All-American game

Kaan Ilgin wants to play professional soccer after he graduates from Mattituck High School. Kaan Ilgin, the offensive hero of Mattituck High School's victory in the New York state Class B championship game Sunday, is considering turning pro. Not in four years after college, but right now, after he graduates from the North Fork Long Island high school.

11 area players on NSCAA youth teams

Eight area boys players and three girls athletes were named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America youth All-American teams Thursday.
