LA GRANGE, N.Y. -- In an all-Capital District Youth Soccer League final, the Alleycats KrazyKats registered a 4-0 win over the Capital United Blue Streaks at Stringham Park in the Girls Under-12 8 v 8 championship game of the Eastern New York Youth Soccer Association Open Cup on June 2.

Yaya Venness led the way with a hat-trick and Anna Kuhl added a goal. The defense of Bridget Larkin, Izzy Lynch and Janina Rudginski was solid all game.
“We’ve been working really hard all year long, particularly on the mental part of the game,” Alleycats coach Betsy Drambour said. “Capital United put pressure on us in the first half but we controlled the tempo in the second half.”
It was the second successive year the Alleycats won the Girls U-12 crown.
The Alleycats will compete in the Region I tournament from June 28 to July 3 in Lancaster, Pa.
